SMS Messaging Terms of Use
These SMS Messaging Terms of Use (“SMS Terms”) describe the text messaging program offered by Ocmulgee Veterinary Clinic (“Ocmulgee Veterinary Clinic,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these SMS Terms.
1. Types of Messages
You may receive informational and customer-care text messages related to your relationship with Ocmulgee Veterinary Clinic, including:
· Appointment reminders, confirmations, cancellations, and scheduling updates
· Scheduled veterinary, surgery, grooming, boarding, and other service communications
· Treatment, medication, refill, laboratory, or patient-status updates
· Digital forms, estimates, invoices, payment links, and pickup or discharge information
· Responses to questions and other general client-care communications
2. Consent and Enrollment
You may enroll by providing your mobile number and taking an affirmative action to consent, such as selecting an optional SMS consent checkbox on a clinic form. Consent to receive text messages is voluntary and is not a condition of purchasing goods or receiving veterinary services. Your consent applies only to messages from Ocmulgee Veterinary Clinic for the purposes described above.
3. Message Frequency and Charges
Message frequency varies based on your appointments, services, requests, and communications with the clinic. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for information about your text and data plan.
4. Opting Out
You may cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to a message from us. After you send STOP, you may receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive text messages from that number unless you opt in again. To resubscribe, reply START or complete a new opt-in request.

6. Delivery and Carrier Disclaimer
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery may be affected by your mobile device, wireless service, network availability, or other factors outside our control.
7. Privacy
We handle mobile information and messaging consent as described in our SMS Messaging Privacy Notice and general Privacy Policy. Mobile opt-in data and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
8. Veterinary Emergencies
Text messaging should not be used for urgent or emergency veterinary needs. Messages may not be reviewed immediately. During clinic business hours, call 478-374-2999. For an after-hours emergency, contact an emergency veterinary facility.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Continued participation after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised SMS Terms.
